Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

Step 1

Brown the butter. Add butter to a large saucepan and place over medium heat. Make sure to whisk constantly. When the butter changes color, remove pan from heat and transfer to a bowl.

Step 2

Using an electric mixer, mix the brown butter and sugars until they are combined. Beat in the egg, yolk, vanilla extract, and yogurt until smooth.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk the dry ingredients together. Then add them to the wet ingredients and beat on low-speed. Add in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed into the dough.

Step 4

Chill your dough for 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Step 5

Remove dough from the refrigerator and roll into small balls. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 6

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Once ready, bake cookies for 9-11 minutes, or until golden brown.

Step 7

Cool the cookies on the baking sheets for at least 5 minutes. Sprinkle each cookie with a pinch of sea salt.
